At this point, who hasn’t heard of Narnia? The movie has certainly helped with its popularity but a different (and book-lovers would argue- better) experience can actually be gained from reading it. With intensely vivid descriptions to adorn this exhilarating plot, you will feel right there with Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan, feeling the crunch of snow beneath your boots, as they adventure in the crystalline world beyond the cupboard. You might think the words “autobiography” and “thrilling” really don’t belong together, but this book might make you think again. Westover will keep you on the edge of your seat as she details in this non fictitious recount her extraordinary life in a survivalist household, from growing up in the woods where education was not considered morally or religiously acceptable, all the way to her entering Harvard.
